Thanksgiving and bring on the Christmas Season!

We spent Thanksgiving with both of our families this year. We celebrated a little early with my family and hosted Thanksgiving dinner at our house the Sunday before the actual Turkey Day. It was our first turkey trial and I must say, it turned out very well! We decided that we had to learn some time before our kids got old, otherwise they'd never want to come home for holiday dinners. We enjoyed yummy food and then played Cranium. I highly recommend that game. I never thought I'd see my mom do "The Crane."

On the actual day of Thanksgiving, we went to Rob's sister's house and spent the day with his family. We also played Cranium with them and again, it was a blast. My mother-in-law makes a great Donald Trump.

I am grateful for so many things this year. We are very blessed.

Alaina got a little drunk off turkey too.

I contributed a lattice top apple pie to our Thanksgiving dinner (home-made crust and all) and it was very yummy! I was proud.

BRING ON THE CHRISTMAS SEASON!

We set up our Christmas tree last weekend and of course, Alaina is loving it. I caught her right in the act of doing what she loves most right now...

Here's a couple more pictures I snapped that day of Alaina. Man, I wish I could freeze time! I think 10-11 months has been my favorite so far. I was talking to a member of our Stake Presidency last Sunday and I told him that every stage she's gone through has been my favorite until she hits the next stage, and then I find out THAT one's my new favorite. He said, "Eventually you will hit a point, somewhere around 12 or 13 years old when you'll look back and say, "Those younger days truly were my favorite days." Oh, I don't want her to lose her sweetness and innocence; I can't imagine her ever talking back or sneaking out at night!  For now, I'll cherish my little baby girl.
