Can't I just fast-forward time?

So, my last entry I wrote about how we had someone come look at our house and I said something about how if we got an offer it would be a miracle...well, about 5 minutes after writing that, Rob told me that we DID get an offer from those people. That was a few weeks ago and it has been quite the rollercoaster since then. Very long story short, the deal looked really good in the beginning and the people were pre-qualified (twice, our realtor says). Everything went so well until last week when our realtor called and said that something fishy was going on with the buyer's lender and the deal might break. Let's just say that since that day, every time the phone rings, I'm scared and anxious. We're having it appraised today and hopefully we'll know more tomorrow about if the deal will go through or not. I just wish I could fast-forward time, even just one week, and know more about what's going to happen. Our whole future is up in the air. I hate not knowing where we're going to be. I guess we'll see and we'll just roll with it...What did I expect anyway? Real estate deals never go smoothly.

Other than that, we're better than ever! I just can't believe how fast Alaina is growing up; not necessarily any taller, but in how she acts. Like for example, this morning she was really quiet, so I started investigating. I found her baby doll in the high chair and her snooping around in the cabinet where her bibs are. She found it, put it on her doll, and was feeding it. I didn't teach her any of that! She loves babies and kids and playing and running. We babysat my friend Brittany's little boy who's 5 months yesterday and I almost didn't know what to do with him! I mean, of course I did, but it was a little foreign because Alaina's out of that baby stage. I thought a lot about how much she's changed in a year and how much our lives have changed because of it. It's so much fun!

This was taken this morning after she found my socks and wanted to put them on. Then, there's her cape/bib. I couldn't stop laughing.

she looks so much older now! Wow, they are growing up so fast! Good luck with the real estate deal-- that stinks...but hopefully everything will turn out for the best!
