Camping

We finally got away on a vacation...if you can call camping a vacation. It sure is a lot of work, but it was really fun. We went with Rob's sisters and their families and we were somewhere in the Uintas. It was a blast! Thanks Cody, Holly, Kristy, Jerry and company for the fun memories!

There was a river nearby that the kids had fun playing in...especially after Uncle Bob made a sweet slide out of rocks.

I don't know if any of you heard about the Duschesne fire, but this was it. It was only about  a 30 minute drive from where we were camping. We saw the billowing smoke, so had to go check it out.

Alaina did pretty well for her first camping trip. She liked the dirt, of course! She also LOVED the fire. We've never seen her freak out like she did when we sat around the fire for the first time. She pretty much looked and sounded like a little monkey with her shrieks and flailing arms. It was cute.

Camping is the best family togetherness activity there is! My kids are also mesmerized by the fire. When they were babies it would put them to sleep. I have many memories of me snuggling them in blankies under a beautiful night sky by a camp fire.
